Terra Firma  was retained by Pen Y Fan Processing and Recycling (PPR) to design and implement a test regime to classify the processed material from PPR as Recycled Aggregate.

Working with a consultant from the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP), Terra Firma designed a Quality Assurance System to be implemented at the PPR site.

The Quality Assurance System comprised a series of chemical and geotechnical tests to be performed at set frequencies based on site production rates.

Initially the site works were performed by Terra Firma. During this period site operatives were trained in the requirements of the sampling and this aspect of the works was eventually handed over to PPR staff.

We provide periodic reports based on the results of the ongoing testing.

The results of the testing allowed PPR to classify their product as Type 1 and Type 6F4 Recycled Aggregate for sale.
